As tradition, it's been a few months since last post. But it seems a bunch of friends are posting, so i will too. 
a while ago i got my mission call!  I'm going to new york, new york south. it's pretty much all of Long Island. i get staten island and bermuda as well. i'll need a passport for that one. maybe not even go there.  I leave next month, august 22.  my good friend, geoff parsons left today for the mtc. he's going to sacramento, cali. speaking some crazy language called loation. oh, i'm speaking english. good thing too, so many different people there.  oh something else, my patriarchal blessing says i'll have the gift of tongues.. after getting my call that says english i think that it'll mean that i'll be able to speak well, and not stutter or whatever.
   i think we'll start another blog for my mission, when that comes. i can't wait to go. 

Adventures in jobs

So, I've had some crazy times lately, I quit my job at the Common Scents, after working there for 2+ years, and i had a few days of doing nothing, I'm working through SOS, which is good, so i can find a job easier. so the wednesday after quitting i got a job at Olson's Greenhouses, which was really hard work for me, like harder than i've ever done. in 8 hours. then on the third day, but really second day, they let me go home early. i was sad i was leaving but glad cuz i was gonna quit then anyways, it's too hard, and at least i tried it.
then the weekend, so now it's monday again and i call sos and they have another job for me, making dog food... ugh.. i was there for 8 hours as well and it was pretty crazy.. i was at one station the whole time, but there was a few different positions to stand at, like feeding the strips, or collecting and filling cans with said strips, and also putting the cans in boxes to stack the boxes on a pallet. the only downside i can find so far is that they want me to work 12 hour shifts, which is super crazy, but my mom's friends have been doing this for 20 or so years! so i bet i can do it, also i am working with a bunch of old ladies, so if they can wake up at 3am, so can i!!! the number one upside is that i get $9/hr, which is the best i've ever gotten paid, EVER!! my last two jobs i got 8, then 8.5 so now i have a good enough reason to get up early and be on my feet half the day.
i gotta find stuff to eat during the day, i ordered a cool lunch box off thinkgeek today and i hope i get it soon, and i hope i work here for a month or so. i just gotta say, if i survive these 12 hour days, i'll be making $108 a day!! that's awesome, i can't believe it, just so great. but i guess i work like three or four days a week as well. oh yeah, food... i need some stuff to eat but i don't eat too much, and i can survive the day not eating a bunch of stuff, but now that i'm working all day i gotta get something that will keep in a box in a fridge and keep me going.. what i did at the last place, DGS, i just had some peanut butter and crackers in my car, i still have that now, but i haven't even opened either yet. i figured peanut butter cuz it says on the bottle that it keeps me going! so if i have a lunch box, i can just keep it inside, but it's not t00 bad to go outside for lunch... bytheway, i only get 20 minutes for lunch!! it's horrible!!
well i'm done ranting now, my typing is getting worse..

Busy Month of February

So lately i've been busy with some cool, fun projects. First is this cardboard Samurai suit my friend and I are making, i'm almost done, got some parts left to "color" and by that i mean cover in colored duct tape, black and purple. i've made the helmet first so i can base everything off that. i'm really impressed with it. The rest of the body armour, that's a little tough, i want to do plates, so that they cover a little of the one next to or under it. it's a good challenge for me. I finally get to show what i'm thinking, usually i have awesome ideas but can't put it on paper, but this is more than just drawing!
notice the light switch cover? I painted that too, it's a skullcandy logo, like the best and coolest headphone brand ever.

The other project is for my NERF guns, they are usually really weak and useless against people, so my friend the other day was like, hey lets mod these and have an epic battle! so i have two guns, a raider and a recon, and i've had the raider painted already, but that part of the story comes later.. but i took it apart (which i love to do with things to see how they work) and took out the Air Restrictor, which obviously restricts the air coming through to make it more powerful, so now it shoots like double to distance. and A LOT faster! it's great. Then with the recon, this base color is yellow, which if we're going to have this awesome battle, it's gotta be dark and not obvious. so i took it apart, and modded the parts, then i left it apart to paint it, and that day my friend and i went to Wally World to get some paint, i got this dark brown-green stuff. i didn't know what color it was exactly until i used it. it turns out to be this dark chocolate brown, i really like it now... oh yeah and with this gun i had painted the slide black, it was this awful white color, and it didn't match the rest of the gun. so now the gun is black and brown, looks lovely hah..
I'll post pictures later, i can't find the memory card thing now. it converts my tiny sd card from my phone to the bigger piece to put in the computer, and it's black, if you find it, i'd like it back, thanks. anyway, that's it for now, i lost my train of thought while i looked for it.
